Medical 

We offer two medical plans - CDHP + HSA and Open Choice PPO - which give you access to the same nationwide network of doctors and hospitals. Both plans provide 100% coverage of: 

• Annual physicals and well-child visits.
• Immunizations.
• Cancer screenings (mammograms, colonoscopies).
• Preventive medications (contraceptives, tobacco cessation drugs).

Dental 

You will have access to a detailed dental plan. 

Vision 

We offer vision coverage through a Vision Service Plan (VSP), accepted at many major retailers.

Planning for retirement

The Sompo 401(k) plan allows you to build retirement income that can supplement your Social Security, personal savings, and other investments. 

Our 401(k) is best-in-class, with 4% of compensation contribution regardless of whether you contribute. This contribution is 100% vested with an additional matching contribution of 50 cents for every dollar up to 6% of eligible compensation (max 3% match).

Life and AD&D

Sompo offers basic life and AD&D insurance at no cost, with the option to purchase additional supplemental coverage. The benefit amount you are eligible to receive is based on your job band.

Disability

We offer disability insurance that can provide you and your family with a significant level of financial security should you become disabled and unable to work for an extended period. Sompo pays the full cost of your disability coverage.

Employee assistance program (EAP) 

Free confidential support for you and your family (spouse, children, parents, in-laws), including licensed professional counselors for stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family and parenting problems, and other. 

Back and joint care

Virtual, individualized digital exercise therapy programs designed to help you alleviate back and joint pain, recover from injuries, or stay healthy and pain free. 

Worldwide emergency travel assistance 

You and eligible family members get 24/7 emergency assistance when traveling 100+ miles from home or in foreign countries.

Business travel accident

The business travel accident (BTA) plan pays a benefit when you are injured because of an accident while traveling on company business. Your benefit is based on your job band.

Adoption assistance 

Full-time employees with one year of service are eligible to receive reimbursement for child adoption expenses if terms are met.

This depends on the role and the location. However, typically, the process involves 3-4 stages depending on seniority, including interviews with the hiring manager, team members, and HR. Candidates that make it to the interview stage are kept informed, with feedback provided after each stage.
