Head of Financial Lines, Insurance, Iberia
Olivier Marcén was appointed Head of Financial Lines, Insurance, Iberia at Sompo in October 2023. Based in Barcelona, he is responsible for leading the Financial Lines underwriting strategy and portfolio across the Iberian market.
Mr Marcén has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on financial and professional lines underwriting.
Prior to joining Sompo, he spent close to two decades at AIG, where he was responsible for Financial Lines across regions including Aragón, the Balearic Islands and Catalonia. Earlier in his career, Mr Marcén worked in the brokerage sector at Confide Correduría de Seguros y Reaseguros, supporting large corporate accounts.
Mr Marcén holds a degree in Law from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
