Maximilian Lindberg was appointed Head of Marine, Insurance, Switzerland at Sompo in February 2024. Based in Zurich, he is responsible for leading the Marine underwriting portfolio in Switzerland.
Mr Lindberg has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, with a strong focus on marine underwriting, international programs and risk management.
Prior to joining Sompo, he served as Senior Marine Underwriter at Chubb, where he managed major accounts and designed globally compliant insurance programs for international clients. He previously held marine underwriting roles at Zurich Insurance Company and began his career in the Lloyd’s and London market as a marine broker, working across Germany and the United Kingdom.
Mr Lindberg holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Shipping and Chartering from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen and completed the Frankfurt Mini MBA at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
