Marilyn Faugas was appointed Country Manager, Insurance, France at Sompo in October 2023. Based in Paris, she is responsible for leading Sompo’s business operations and market strategy in France.
Ms Faugas joined Sompo from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, where she spent 13 years, most recently as their country legal representative for France and Head of Distribution for the Mediterranean Region.
She has also held underwriting and management positions in Paris for Ace Europe and Marsh. She has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial insurance sector, with expertise across global insurance, distribution, and financial lines.
Ms Faugas completed an executiveive MBA at the Centre des Hautes Études d’Assurances (CHEA) and holds a postgraduate degree in Insurance Law from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne and Institut des Assurances de Paris.
