Malte Dittmann

In this role, Mr Dittmann is responsible for underwriting, claims and sales excellence for the industrial insurance market across Germany and Austria, leading multidisciplinary teams across all property and casualty lines as well as accident and health insurance and working closely with brokers and partners to support sustainable, profitable growth.

Mr Dittmann has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, with expertise spanning underwriting, portfolio management and country leadership. Prior to joining Sompo, he held senior (board) roles at HDI Versicherung AG, Gothaer Allgemeine Versicherung AG, CNA Hardy, as well as multiple commercial insurance leadership positions at Chubb and AXA.

Mr Dittmann is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds the Versicherungsbetriebswirt qualification from the Deutsche Versicherungsakademie.
