Luis Barbosa joined Sompo in September 2023, based in Madrid. He is responsible for managing, developing, and executing Sompo’s Multinational business in Iberia, France, and Italy.
Before joining Sompo, Luis held several positions in Operations and Multinational at a Spanish branch of a leading insurance carrier. He has more than 14 years of experience in Multinational and Operations previously holding a position of Multinational and Operations Lead for Casualty, Environmental and Financial Lines. Prior to this, he worked as assistant UW for Property and Construction.
Earlier in his career Luis worked in the banking sector. Has a degree in Management and Administration by the University of Minho – Portugal. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
