Lisa Willenegger was appointed Head of Casualty, Insurance, Switzerland at Sompo in January 2024. Based in Zurich, she is responsible for leading Sompo’s Casualty operations in Switzerland.
Ms Willenegger has 20 years of experience in commercial insurance, with a strong focus on casualty, liability, and motor insurance across international markets.
Prior to joining Sompo, she spent more than 17 years at Zurich Insurance Group, where she most recently served as Head of Casualty Commercial Insurance EMEA, with profit and loss responsibility for liability, motor and employer’s liability across the region. Her earlier roles included senior underwriting, product development, alternative risk transfer pricing and strategic positions in Switzerland and Canada, supporting global corporate clients.
Ms Willenegger holds a Master of Science in Physics from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and is a CFA Charterholder.
