Head of Distribution, Insurance, Iberia
José María Conde‑Salazar Ollero was appointed Head of Distribution, Insurance, Iberia at Sompo in October 2023. Based in Madrid, he is responsible for leading distribution strategy, business development and client management activities across the market.
Mr Conde‑Salazar has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held senior leadership roles spanning technical underwriting and commercial management.
He joined Sompo from Generali Global Corporate & Commercial, where he served as Head of Clients and Brokers for the Iberia and Latin America regions. Prior to that, he worked for Ace European Group, Marsh, and AIG Europe.
Mr Conde‑Salazar holds a Master of Business Administration from IE Business School and a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
