John Richards was appointed Head of Financial Lines, UK in 2022.
Mr Richards oversees Cyber, Commercial D&O, Professional Indemnity and Financial Institutions, and joined Sompo in 2017.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He began his career on the AIG graduate programme in 2004 before moving to Zurich in 2008. In 2012, he joined Novae, where he was Deputy Unit Head of Financial Institutions, building extensive expertise across financial lines underwriting.
