Head of Accident & Health, Insurance, Iberia
Joan Torradeflot Botet was appointed Head of Accident & Health, Insurance, Iberia at Sompo in May 2023. Based in Barcelona, he is responsible for leading the A&H underwriting strategy across Spain and Portugal, overseeing portfolio performance, product development and commercial alignment.
Mr Torradeflot has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with strong expertise across accident and health underwriting, actuarial disciplines and business development.
Prior to joining Sompo, he spent nine years at Chubb, where he served as A&H Corporate Underwriting Manager for Spain and Portugal, having previously led personal insurance business development in Barcelona. Earlier in his career, he held senior client-facing roles at Aon Risk Solutions and Mercer, specializing in employee benefits and social protection solutions.
Mr Torradeflot holds degrees in Actuarial and Financial Sciences and in Business Administration and Management.
