Head of Third-Party Claims
Jeremy Hewitt is Head of Third-Party Claims for London and Europe at Sompo, where he is responsible for developing, delivering and monitoring the claims service for clients across Professional Lines, Casualty, Accident & Health, and Financial & Political Risk.
In this role, Mr Hewitt oversees claims strategy and service standards across the London and European markets, working closely with internal teams, clients and brokers.
Mr Hewitt is a qualified solicitor with more than 20 years of experience in insurance disputes and claims handling. His background includes extensive work within the London and Lloyd’s markets, where he has managed complex and high‑value claims across multiple classes of business.
Prior to joining Sompo, Mr Hewitt held senior leadership roles at global insurance companies and law firms. His career included positions based in London and Singapore, providing him with broad international experience in claims management, legal oversight and stakeholder engagement.
