Head of Marine, Insurance, Italy
Davide Dacquino was appointed Head of Marine, Insurance, Italy in September 2023. Based in Milan, he is responsible for leading the Marine underwriting portfolio in Italy, with oversight of underwriting strategy, portfolio performance and market development.
Mr Dacquino has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on marine insurance and general underwriting.
Prior to joining Sompo, he held senior marine underwriting roles at AXA XL and XL Catlin, where he managed complex marine risks within the Italian market. Earlier in his career, Mr Dacquino held marine underwriting positions at ITAS Mutua and Sun Insurance. He also gained experience in business development roles earlier in his career, supporting client and market growth initiatives.
Mr Dacquino holds an engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano.
