Head of Distribution & Client Relationship Management Insurance, Germany & Austria
Christian Kruppa was appointed Head of Distribution & Client Relationship Management Insurance, Germany & Austria at Sompo in December 2023, based in the Cologne/Bonn region. In this role, he is responsible for leading distribution strategy and client management activities, working closely with brokers and key clients across the German market.
Mr Kruppa has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, with a background spanning distribution, sales leadership, client management and underwriting.
Prior to joining Sompo, he held senior sales and distribution roles at Chubb in Germany. Earlier in his career, Mr Kruppa worked at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, AXA Corporate Solutions and other insurance organizations, gaining broad experience across financial lines, aviation and corporate insurance, as well as leadership responsibility across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Mr Kruppa holds a law degree and completed the studies in Law at the University of Cologne, with additional legal studies at Université Clermont Auvergne.
