Cédric Wells was appointed Head of Claims, Insurance, Continental Europe at Sompo in September 2025.
Mr Wells has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a career focused largely on claims management at several major international insurers and reinsurers.
His most recent role was at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, where he served as Head of Claims for France, Iberia, and Italy. During his tenure, he was also a member of the SRI France executive committee and the EMEA claims leadership team. Earlier in his career, Mr Wells worked at SCOR Global P&C and La Réunion Aérienne as legal and claims manager.
Mr Wells holds an Advanced degree in Negotiation and International Organisations Law from Université Paris XI and an Executive MBA for Insurance Managers from ENASS‑CNAM.
