Nicolas Berg

Mr. Berg joined Sompo in 2026 from SCOR, where he was most recently CEO of SCOR US and Head of P&C North America, responsible for the group's reinsurance and MGA business across the US and Canada.

Prior to this, Mr. Berg spent much of his 25-year career at AIG in a succession of global and regional executive roles focused on the UK and European markets. Based in London, he served as Head of Liability and Financial Lines for the UK, Lloyd's and EMEA, sat on the AIG UK Executive Committee and chaired its Insurance Risk Committee. Mr. Berg has also led claims at scale, including as AIG's Chief Claims Officer for North America. He started his career in finance in New York.
