Head of Property, Energy & Construction, Insurance, France
Jérôme Decima was appointed Head of Property, Energy & Construction, Insurance, France at Sompo in 2026. Based in Paris, he is responsible for leading Sompo’s Property underwriting activities in the French market.
Mr Decima has nearly 20 years of experience in property insurance and risk management, with a background spanning underwriting, loss control, and risk engineering.
Prior to joining Sompo, he served as Property Team Leader at AXA XL. He previously held property underwriting roles at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and AXA Corporate Solutions, where he managed large corporate client portfolios. Earlier in his career, Mr Decima worked as an Account Engineer at AXA MATRIX Risk Consultants and as a Loss Control Risk Engineer at Chubb Insurance, supporting international clients across sectors including retail, automotive and transport.
Mr Decima has a qualification in Risk Management from Bordeaux Ecole de Management and technical certifications in industrial risk, health, safety and environment.
