Zachary Harding was appointed SVP, Head of Primary Retail Casualty, North America at Sompo in May 2025.
In this role, he leads the Primary Retail Casualty business across North America. Prior to this, Mr Harding served in several underwriting leadership positions at Sompo, including SVP, VP, US Industry Vertical Casualty Underwriting Leader.
With more than a decade of insurance industry experience, Mr Harding specializes in primary and excess casualty underwriting, portfolio management, broker relationship management, and industry-focused casualty solutions. Before joining Sompo, he held underwriting roles at QBE North America and AIG.
Mr Harding completed the Executive Leadership Experience Program at The Wharton School in 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Hofstra University.
