Veerle Van den Brande

Based in Brussels, she leads Sompo’s Property Insurance business across both countries and travels frequently to the Netherlands. Her role supports the continued development of Sompo’s underwriting capabilities and commercial insurance presence in the region.

Mrs Van den Brande has more than 17 years of insurance industry experience, with a background spanning property underwriting, risk control and broker relationship management.

Prior to joining Sompo, she served as Executive Manager of Property at Allianz Commercial, where she was responsible for large and midmarket business in Belgium. Earlier in her career, Mrs Van den Brande held a series of property, risk control and underwriting roles at international and European insurance carriers.
